Dental or tooth decay happens when the enamel and dentine of a tooth become softened by acid attack, producing a cavity (hole). It is caused by plaque acids that gradually dissolve away the enamel and dentine of the tooth to produce a cavity. Decay damages your teeth and may lead to the tooth needing to be filled or even extracted.
If the decay is not too serious, the dentist will remove all the decay and restore the tooth with a filling.
Our most requested holistic dental treatments are non-Mercury fillings. Amalgam fillings are also known as black fillings and these contain Mercury – the toxicity of this heavy metal has caused widespread debate and though not proven it continues to be linked to conditions like MS and Alzheimer’s.
We have a specific safety protocols to remove amalgam, in addition to which we can also work with nutritionists for a full detoxification procedure.
